Who you are
You have a strong background in reliability engineering, with a fundamental understanding of reliability statistics and tests. You are experienced in working with computer systems and have a proven track record of influencing design for reliability. Your ability to engage with cross-disciplinary teams makes you an effective collaborator in a fast-paced environment.
You possess excellent problem-solving skills and are responsive and flexible in your approach to challenges. You have experience mentoring engineers and providing technical leadership, which helps foster a culture of continuous improvement within your team. Your deep understanding of manufacturing processes allows you to drive improvements that address reliability issues effectively.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for the test validation of future technologies, ensuring that they meet the highest reliability standards. You will drive manufacturing process improvements to address reliability concerns and qualify manufacturing lines for mass production. Your responsibilities will include identifying and validating product risks, working closely with design teams to mitigate them, and defining test methodologies to assure product reliability.
You will engage with multiple vendors and ODMs to standardize component manufacturing and reliability expectations. Your work will involve deep-diving into technologies aligned with the product roadmap, providing insights that influence product development. You will also perform reliability predictions for failure mechanisms and products under development, ensuring that all products meet the necessary reliability criteria.
