Who you are
You have over 3 years of experience managing quality assurance teams and a strong background in quality assurance engineering. You are customer-focused and obsessed with continuous quality improvement, demonstrating expertise in creating world-class automation for feature testing and regression. You possess the ability to develop and drive high-level strategies while also being hands-on in implementation. Your experience in cross-disciplinary organizations equips you to navigate complex environments effectively.
You excel in developing comprehensive test strategies and tracking project schedules. You have a proven track record of building and leading high-performing QA teams, ensuring that software functionality and performance meet high-quality standards. Your leadership style fosters collaboration and innovation within your team, driving them to achieve exceptional results.
Desirable
Experience with advanced automation frameworks is a plus, as is familiarity with the Alexa ecosystem. You are comfortable working in fast-paced environments and can adapt to changing priorities while maintaining a focus on quality. Your ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including Product Management, Software Development Engineering, and User Experience Design, enhances your effectiveness in this role.
What you'll do
As a Quality Assurance Manager III, you will play a critical role in driving product quality across multiple technical domains within the Alexa ecosystem. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand product vision, requirements, and customer usage models. Your responsibilities will include setting the QA team's technical vision and roadmap, developing comprehensive test strategies, and managing a team responsible for validating software functionality, stability, and performance.
You will develop and track project schedules, ensuring that your team meets deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards. Your hands-on approach will involve implementing advanced automation frameworks to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness. You will be responsible for ensuring that the software meets the highest quality standards, driving continuous improvement initiatives within the team.
Your role will also involve mentoring and coaching team members, fostering a culture of quality and accountability. You will collaborate with Product Management and other stakeholders to align QA efforts with product goals, ensuring that customer needs are met. You will lead efforts to identify and mitigate risks associated with software releases, contributing to the overall success of the Alexa product line.
