You have demonstrated expertise in risk management within UK/EU regulated financial services, and you are ready to apply your skills in Amazon's unique environment. You understand the complexities of compliance and risk management, and you are adept at balancing guidance against competing priorities. Your experience includes leading teams and managing risk frameworks, ensuring that all operations align with legal and compliance requirements.

You possess strong analytical skills, allowing you to monitor risk exposure and facilitate data-driven narratives for leadership. You are comfortable developing policies and procedures that govern risk management, and you have a pragmatic approach to embedding risk management mechanisms into business operations. Your people management skills enable you to effectively lead a globally dispersed team, guiding them through the employee lifecycle.

Desirable

Experience in payments, insurance distribution, and credit broking is a plus, as is familiarity with incident response support and operational resilience. You are a proactive communicator, capable of articulating complex risk concepts to diverse stakeholders.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead the risk management program for UK/EU licensed entities, creating roadmaps that embed risk management mechanisms and support change management initiatives. You will monitor risk exposure against entity risk appetite and escalate issues as necessary. Your responsibilities will include facilitating detailed, data-driven narratives to inform leadership and Board members about risk levels, mitigations, and impacts.

You will be responsible for developing the risk management framework, including policies, procedures, toolkits, and governance documents. This will involve ensuring business continuity and operational resilience, as well as conducting product risk assessments for material changes to business products. You will manage a team of three direct reports, guiding them through sourcing, onboarding, and ongoing development to achieve the best results for Amazon's customers.
