Who you are
You have a strong background in sales, ideally with experience in the theatrical exhibition industry. Your excellent communication skills enable you to build and maintain relationships with theatrical partners and internal stakeholders. You are results-driven and have a passion for movies, which fuels your commitment to maximizing box office revenue. You possess a solid understanding of data analysis, allowing you to interpret insights that inform decision-making processes. Your proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, supports your ability to manage accounts receivable and track box office performance effectively. You are comfortable negotiating booking terms and developing regional booking strategies to enhance film placement in the US marketplace.
Desirable
Experience with distribution software such as TDS and ComScore is a plus, as it will help you streamline operations and improve efficiency in your role. Familiarity with market analysis and exhibitor outreach will further enhance your ability to achieve release goals and optimize theatrical placements.
What you'll do
As a Sales Manager at Amazon MGM Studios, you will play a crucial role in supporting the distribution and release strategy for films across North American exhibitors. You will report directly to the General Sales Manager for the Theatrical Sales Department and assist in the daily execution of theatrical sales operations. Your responsibilities will include ownership of your assigned booking territory, where you will develop regional booking strategies and maintain strong relationships with exhibitors. You will negotiate booking terms with exhibition partners to maximize box-office returns through strategic bookings and weekly holdovers.
In this role, you will also conduct market analysis to inform your strategies and assist with release goals. Your ability to interpret data will be essential as you track accounts receivable and box office performance, ensuring a healthy financial status within your territory. You will collaborate closely with the broader distribution team to execute release plans effectively and optimize theatrical placements for our films.
