You have a strong background in security engineering, particularly in incident response and threat analysis. With your expertise in malware analysis and network security, you are prepared to tackle complex security challenges and protect sensitive data at scale. You possess a deep understanding of application security and threat intelligence, enabling you to identify and mitigate potential threats effectively. You are a collaborative team player, ready to coordinate responses to security incidents involving multiple teams across Amazon.
What you'll do
As a Security Engineer II on the SIRT, you will respond to security incidents and lead the coordination of cohesive responses across various teams. Your role involves providing security engineering solutions and support during customer-facing incidents, ensuring that similar incidents are prevented in the future. You will assist in developing solutions that meet business needs while addressing security risks, contributing to the overall security posture of Amazon.
You will work closely with detection systems and vulnerability analysis tools, gathering and analyzing event data to identify security threats. Your responsibilities will include conducting thorough analyses of security events, collaborating with other security professionals, and continuously improving incident response processes. You will also have the opportunity to mentor junior team members and share your knowledge of best practices in security engineering.
