Who you are
You have a strong background in offensive security, with at least 5 years of experience in penetration testing and security engineering. Your expertise in AWS security is complemented by your proficiency in tools like Burp Suite and Metasploit, allowing you to effectively identify and mitigate vulnerabilities. You possess excellent leadership skills, guiding teams through complex security challenges while fostering a culture of security awareness across the organization. Your ability to manage time efficiently and deliver results under pressure is a testament to your resilience and adaptability in the face of uncertainty. You are proactive in sharing knowledge and best practices, making you a key resource within the Amazon community.
Desirable
Experience with OWASP principles and methodologies is a plus, as is familiarity with automated threat emulation solutions. You have a knack for navigating difficult situations with composure and tact, addressing conflicts through active listening and collaboration. Your judgment in making technical trade-offs between security and business goals is exemplary, ensuring that both short-term and long-term objectives are met.
What you'll do
In this role, you will lead offensive security campaigns, conducting thorough penetration tests to identify vulnerabilities in AWS systems and processes. You will collaborate with various teams to integrate offensive security insights into their development and deployment processes, enhancing overall security posture. Your responsibilities will include creating and maintaining automated threat emulation solutions that simulate real-world attack scenarios, allowing teams to proactively address potential threats. You will also conduct security reviews of large Amazon projects, setting standards and defining best practices for the AWS IT Security team. Your leadership will be crucial in mentoring junior security engineers and fostering a culture of continuous improvement in security practices across the organization.
