You are an experienced Principal Security Engineer with a strong background in cybersecurity and a deep understanding of threat, vulnerability, and risk assessments. You have expertise in security tools such as Splunk and CrowdStrike, and you are well-versed in applying security frameworks like ISM and NIST. Your ability to conduct both pre and post-launch testing, along with offensive campaigns, sets you apart as a leader in the field. You thrive in collaborative environments, partnering with service teams to integrate security insights into development and deployment processes.
You possess a proactive mindset, always looking to enhance threat mitigations and ensure robust security measures are in place. What you'll do
In this role, you will lead security testing for large Amazon projects, setting standards and defining best practices for the Security team. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining automated threat emulation solutions, ensuring that systems and processes are secured against the latest threats. Your work will involve continuous validation of security throughout the service/system lifecycle, collaborating with the larger Security organization and service teams.
You will conduct emergent threat testing and provide insights that help security and service teams enhance their monitoring and response processes. Your expertise will guide the development of security measures that are both effective and efficient, ensuring that Amazon's systems remain resilient against evolving threats. You will also share your knowledge across the Amazon community, fostering a culture of security awareness and best practices.
