Your expertise in AWS and Linux allows you to effectively manage and secure cloud environments, ensuring that systems are robust against threats.

You are skilled in Python and have experience with automation tools — you understand how to leverage scripting to enhance security processes and improve efficiency. Your knowledge of vulnerability assessment and incident response equips you to identify and mitigate risks proactively, ensuring the integrity of systems and data.

You have a collaborative mindset and enjoy working with cross-functional teams — your ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders makes you an effective advocate for security within the organization. You are passionate about protecting customer trust and understand the importance of security in software development.

Desirable

Experience with application security and network security is a plus — you are familiar with common vulnerabilities and have a track record of implementing security measures to protect applications and networks. Familiarity with compliance frameworks and regulations will help you navigate the security landscape effectively.

What you'll do

As a Security Engineering Lead at Audible, you will drive the security architecture for our web and mobile applications — your role involves defining and implementing secure-by-default strategies that align with industry standards. You will partner with developer teams to integrate security into the design and architecture of systems, ensuring that security is a fundamental aspect of our development processes.

You will conduct deep testing of systems to uncover security issues — both manually and through automation tools, you will identify vulnerabilities and work with teams to remediate them. Your research into new techniques and vulnerabilities will keep our security practices up-to-date and effective against emerging threats.

You will lead initiatives to enhance security awareness across the organization — by collaborating with application developers, system engineers, and business leaders, you will advocate for best practices and ensure that security considerations are integrated into all aspects of our operations. Your leadership will help foster a culture of security within Audible.
