Who you are
You have significant experience in logistics and operations management, ideally in a high-volume environment. Your leadership skills enable you to effectively manage teams and drive operational excellence. You are motivated by the challenge of improving processes and ensuring safety and quality in a fast-paced setting.
You possess strong negotiation skills, particularly in managing contracts with third-party logistics providers (3PL). Your ability to analyze operational data allows you to make informed decisions that enhance productivity and efficiency. You are also adept at fostering a collaborative team environment, ensuring that all staff are aligned with operational goals.
What you'll do
In this role, you will oversee the daily operations of the Sort Center, ensuring that all processes run smoothly and efficiently. You will lead a team of 50-100 staff, focusing on optimizing workflows and improving safety standards. Your responsibilities will include negotiating contracts with 3PL partners and managing their performance to meet operational targets.
You will be involved in strategic planning to enhance the capacity and capabilities of the logistics network. This includes participating in projects that aim to improve the speed and reliability of package sorting and delivery. You will also be responsible for implementing innovative solutions to address challenges in logistics operations, particularly during peak periods.
