Who you are
You have a strong background in quality engineering, particularly in manufacturing environments, and possess the ability to develop and lead quality management activities. Your experience includes defining and validating processes for assembly and test methods, ensuring that quality standards are met throughout production. You are adept at leading discussions on material review and determining product dispositions for nonconforming materials, showcasing your ability to make critical decisions that impact product quality.
You have a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of quality management systems, particularly in aerospace or similar industries. Your skills include diving deep into root cause corrective action activities, which are essential for maintaining high standards in production processes. You thrive in collaborative environments, working directly with teams in receiving inspection, supplier quality, and engineering to ensure that all aspects of quality are addressed.
What you'll do
In this role, you will develop and lead quality management activities for Amazon's Leo project, focusing on process definition and validation for assembly and test methods. You will be responsible for creating and implementing receiving inspection plans and in-process inspection capabilities, ensuring that all products meet the required quality standards before they are launched into space. You will lead Material Review Board discussions, making critical decisions regarding nonconforming materials and their dispositions.
You will also play a key role in the development and launch of multiple aspects of the Quality Management System across the Leo project, contributing to the overall success of the satellite broadband network. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with various teams to ensure that quality processes are integrated into all stages of production, from initial design to final assembly. You will dive deep into root cause corrective actions, addressing any issues that arise in the production processes immediately before the Leo satellites are loaded into the launch vehicle.
