Who you are
You have 5+ years of experience in sensor design and engineering, with a strong background in developing high-profile consumer electronics. Your expertise in embedded systems and hardware engineering allows you to create innovative solutions that enhance product functionality. You are skilled in collaborating with cross-functional teams, ensuring that all aspects of technology readiness are addressed, including manufacturability and scalability.
You possess a deep understanding of the design and manufacturing processes, enabling you to take ownership of critical design issues and drive them to resolution. Your experience includes participating in design reviews and providing technical leadership through mentoring and establishing robust processes. You are comfortable working with contract manufacturers to ensure that designs can be built at scale and within budget.
What you'll do
As a Senior Sensor Engineer at Amazon Lab126, you will engage with a talented cross-disciplinary team to conceive and design innovative consumer products. Your role will involve designing sensors and sensing features into world-class devices and cutting-edge prototypes. You will collaborate closely with engineering teams and stakeholders across the company to define product requirements and specifications.
You will take ownership of critical design and manufacturing issues, diving deep to root-cause problems and implement effective solutions. Your contributions will include participating in design reviews and addressing all aspects of technology readiness, ensuring that products are manufacturable and meet quality standards. You will also contribute to maintaining and updating team processes and good practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
In this role, you will help shape the technology and product roadmap, participating in strategic discussions that influence the direction of future products. You can expect to travel up to 20% of the time, collaborating with external partners and stakeholders to drive key aspects of product definition and execution.
