You have 6+ years of experience in the software engineering industry, with a strong background in designing and implementing software solutions. You hold a Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field, and you are proficient in Python, C++, and Linux. Your expertise extends to vehicle sensor technologies, and you are familiar with sensor calibration and time synchronization. You have experience with the Robot Operating System, which enhances your ability to work on complex projects.

You set a high bar for technical excellence in all your work, ensuring that the software you develop meets the highest standards. Your collaborative nature allows you to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including platform and security engineering teams, to deliver scalable solutions.

Desirable

You may have 10+ years of experience in the software engineering industry, along with a Master's or PhD degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related fields. Experience with NVIDIA Drive OS is a plus, as it aligns with the advanced technologies used in this role.

What you'll do

In this role, you will design and deliver software and tools for vehicle sensor data collection. You will be responsible for systems architecture design, managing upstream and downstream dependencies to ensure seamless integration. Your technical leadership will influence and guide fellow engineers as you architect, design, and build scalable solutions for sensor data collection that can withstand high demands for scale and availability while reducing operational overhead.

You will also design and implement software for sensor calibration, ensuring that the data collected is accurate and reliable. Your participation in periodic on-call rotations will be essential for addressing critical issues as they arise, demonstrating your commitment to maintaining system integrity and performance.

Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work closely with platform and security engineering teams to ensure that the solutions you develop are secure and efficient. Your ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders will be crucial in driving projects forward and achieving successful outcomes.

Uber offers a competitive salary range for this role, with a base salary between USD$267,000 and USD$297,000 per year.
