Who you are

You have 5+ years of professional software development experience, with a strong foundation in computer science fundamentals. Your expertise includes building full-stack or large-scale distributed systems, and you are familiar with web-based or service-oriented architectures, particularly at scale. You have experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems, and you have served as a mentor or tech lead for engineering teams.

You are proficient in at least one programming language and have a solid understanding of design patterns, reliability, and scaling. Your collaborative nature allows you to thrive in a fast-evolving development environment, and you are passionate about delivering high-impact payment technologies that enhance customer experiences.

What you'll do

In this role, you will contribute to the design and development of Amazon's next generation of global payments systems. You will help define and implement extensible, multi-layered solutions that support both global and region-specific payment protocols and workflows. Your work will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to continuously expand features and introduce new products, including co-branded credit cards and gift cards.

You will be responsible for ensuring that the payment offerings are scalable and secure, enhancing how customers pay worldwide.
