You are well-versed in agile methodologies and understand the importance of best practices in software development. Your experience includes writing distributed system software and ensuring high standards of quality in all deliverables. You are passionate about transforming service performance, durability, cost, and security through innovative engineering solutions.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, testing, deploying, and maintaining software solutions that power Amazon's Payments Platform. You will collaborate with product managers to develop compelling capabilities for customers and work closely with other software development engineers to determine the best technical approaches for new product development.

You will instill best practices for software development and documentation, ensuring that your team delivers high-quality work on tight schedules. Your role will involve writing high-quality distributed system software and participating in an agile, startup-like development environment where you will continuously challenge yourself and grow.

You will also be expected to mentor junior engineers, sharing your knowledge and expertise to help them develop their skills. Your contributions will directly impact the financial flows of tens of billions of dollars annually, serving over 100 million customers and merchants at near-real-time speed.
