Who you are

You have extensive experience in workplace health and safety management, particularly in operations environments. Your background includes developing and implementing safety programs that comply with local and regional regulations. You are skilled in conducting comprehensive risk assessments and safety data analysis, which allows you to influence change effectively within cross-functional teams.

You possess strong communication skills, enabling you to convey clear and concise messages to various stakeholders. Your ability to build trust and confidence with operations leadership is crucial for fostering a culture of safety. You are also experienced in instructing and training teams on EHS policies, ensuring that safety standards are consistently applied across all levels.

Your knowledge of ergonomic principles and continuous improvement methodologies, such as Lean and Kaizen, equips you to lead initiatives that reduce risks and enhance workplace safety. You are passionate about creating a healthful working environment for associates and are committed to driving safety excellence.

Desirable

Experience in developing teams of safety managers and professionals is a plus. Familiarity with safety programs in large-scale operations will enhance your effectiveness in this role.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for executing Amazon's workplace health and safety policies at your designated site. You will collaborate closely with the site operations team to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations. Your leadership will be instrumental in driving continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing conditional and ergonomic risks in Amazon's processes.

You will conduct regular safety audits and assessments, providing actionable insights to enhance safety performance. Your role will involve analyzing safety data to identify trends and areas for improvement, allowing you to implement effective strategies that promote a safe working environment.

Training and mentoring operations leadership and site WHS professionals will be a key part of your responsibilities. You will ensure that all team members are well-versed in EHS policies and practices, fostering a culture of safety awareness and accountability.

You will also be tasked with developing a team of safety managers and professionals, guiding their growth and ensuring they have the resources needed to succeed. Your ability to influence change and drive safety initiatives will be critical to the overall success of the site.
