Job Description
Who you are
You have extensive experience in workplace health and safety management, ideally with a focus on operations environments. Your background includes developing and implementing safety programs that comply with local and regional regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for all associates. You are skilled in building trust and confidence with cross-functional teams, and you excel at influencing change through comprehensive risk assessments and safety data analysis.
You possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written, allowing you to convey clear and concise messages to various stakeholders. Your ability to instruct and train operations leadership and site WHS professionals in company EHS policies is a key strength. You are innovative and proactive in leveraging lean principles and Kaizen events to lead continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing ergonomic risks.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for executing Amazon's workplace health and safety policies at your designated site. You will collaborate closely with the site operations team to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations. Your leadership will be crucial in developing a team of safety managers and professionals, guiding them to foster a culture of safety and health within the organization.
You will conduct risk assessments and analyze safety data to identify areas for improvement, implementing strategies that enhance the safety of Amazon's processes. Your role will also involve training and mentoring site WHS professionals, ensuring they are well-equipped to uphold safety standards. By leading continuous improvement initiatives, you will contribute to creating a healthful working environment for all associates.
