Who you are
You are an experienced Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) Manager with a strong background in health and safety regulations and compliance. You have a proven track record of leading initiatives to reduce risks and improve workplace safety. Your ability to build trust and influence change within teams is a key strength, and you are passionate about promoting health and wellbeing in the workplace.
You possess a thorough understanding of local, regional, and federal regulations related to workplace health and safety. You are skilled in conducting comprehensive risk assessments and analyzing WHS data to drive continuous improvement initiatives. Your leadership experience includes developing and mentoring a team of WHS professionals, ensuring they meet the core competencies required for their roles.
What you'll do
As the Site WHS Manager at Amazon, you will partner with the Operations Team to execute company WHS policies and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations. You will lead initiatives aimed at reducing conditional and ergonomic risks in processes, creating a safe and healthful working environment for associates. Your responsibilities will include providing guidance and oversight to ensure compliance with local and company policies, as well as leading continuous improvement initiatives.
You will be responsible for developing leadership plans for your team, communicating expectations, and providing regular feedback to ensure high performance. Your role will also involve conducting risk assessments and analyzing WHS data to identify areas for improvement. You will work closely with various stakeholders to foster a culture of safety and health within the organization.
