You possess strong leadership skills and have a proven track record of mentoring software engineers. You thrive in collaborative environments, partnering with cross-functional teams to drive technical strategy and deliver integrated solutions. Your communication skills enable you to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Desirable
Experience with navigation systems or transportation technologies is a plus. Familiarity with low-latency requirements and safety-critical applications will set you apart. You are passionate about using technology to improve user experiences and are eager to innovate in the field of navigation intelligence.
What you'll do
As the Software Development Manager, you will lead a team of engineers focused on building navigation systems that impact the safety and experience of Amazon transporters. You will drive the technical strategy for a hybrid on-device/cloud AI architecture, ensuring that the systems you develop meet the safety-critical latency requirements necessary for effective navigation.
You will collaborate closely with routing optimization teams, platform operations, and science teams to deliver integrated solutions that enhance the navigation experience. Your role will involve analyzing transporter behavior patterns to anticipate navigation issues and providing context-aware guidance through LLM-optimized directions.
You will oversee the development process, ensuring that every feature is rigorously tested and meets the highest standards of safety and performance. Your leadership will foster a culture of innovation and excellence within your team, empowering engineers to take ownership of their work and contribute to the overall success of the Navigation Intelligence initiative.
What we offer
