You possess strong leadership skills, enabling you to manage multiple teams effectively while fostering collaboration and innovation.
You have a solid grasp of both flight and ground software security, having established and enforced security standards in previous roles. Your expertise includes overseeing secure software development practices, conducting code reviews, and performing vulnerability assessments. You are familiar with threat modeling and incident response, ensuring that your teams are prepared to handle evolving security threats.
Your experience extends to firmware and hardware security, where you have led initiatives to implement secure boot processes, trusted execution environments, and tamper detection mechanisms. You understand the importance of integrating security requirements into hardware design and are skilled at collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve this.

What you'll do
In this role, you will lead the Leo Software Security organization, responsible for the security of Amazon's satellite constellation. You will own the end-to-end security strategy, ensuring that all systems meet the highest standards of protection against threats. Your responsibilities will include leading multiple teams focused on flight and ground software security architecture and implementation, as well as overseeing firmware and hardware security initiatives.
You will establish and enforce security standards for both space and ground segment software, ensuring compliance with aerospace security regulations. Your role will involve driving secure software development practices, conducting thorough code reviews, and performing vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate risks.
You will also be responsible for threat modeling and incident response, ensuring that your teams are equipped to handle security incidents effectively. Your leadership will be crucial in fostering a security-first culture across engineering organizations, promoting awareness and best practices among team members.
As you oversee firmware security across satellite payloads and subsystems, you will lead teams in implementing secure boot processes and trusted execution environments. You will work closely with hardware teams to integrate security requirements into hardware design, ensuring that all components of the satellite ecosystem are protected against potential threats.
