Amazon is hiring a Software Development Manager for the Neuron Testing Service to lead a team in developing critical testing infrastructure for AWS Neuron SDK. You'll work with AWS technologies and large-scale distributed systems. This role requires experience managing production EKS clusters.
Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong background in building and operating large-scale distributed systems on AWS — your experience includes managing production EKS clusters at scale, ensuring high availability and performance. You are skilled in leading engineering teams, fostering collaboration, and driving technical excellence in software development.
You possess a deep understanding of continuous integration and validation processes — you've successfully overseen the design and operation of testing platforms that manage thousands of test runs daily. Your expertise in advanced queue management algorithms and resource optimization across large EKS clusters sets you apart.
You are a proactive communicator who collaborates effectively with cross-functional teams — your ability to understand and address the testing needs of compiler, runtime, and framework teams ensures that projects run smoothly and efficiently. You thrive in environments that demand operational excellence and scalability.
What you'll do
As the Software Development Manager for the Neuron Testing Infrastructure Team, you will lead a talented group of engineers in developing and maintaining the testing service for AWS Neuron SDK. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the design, development, and operation of a large-scale EKS-based test execution platform.
You will manage the full lifecycle of a high-demand, business-critical service that directly impacts the velocity and quality of AWS Neuron releases. This includes integrating new EC2 instance types and pre-released hardware, implementing advanced queue management algorithms, and optimizing resource utilization across large EKS clusters.
You will ensure that the platform meets strict availability goals while scaling to accommodate growing demand from development teams. Your role will involve collaborating with various teams to ensure their testing needs are met efficiently and reliably.
What we offer
