Job Description

Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in software development, particularly in designing and implementing scalable systems. Your expertise includes working with distributed systems and you understand the complexities involved in achieving low-latency responses in analytics applications. You are proficient in AWS technologies and have a strong grasp of best practices in software engineering.

You are skilled in architecting data solutions that unify structured and unstructured data, and you have experience with data lakehouse architectures. Your background includes implementing OLAP-based analytics layers and establishing metadata management practices that ensure data quality and lineage tracking. You are familiar with automated data ingestion patterns and have a keen eye for enforcing quality controls.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for architecting and implementing a scalable, cost-optimized S3-based Data Lakehouse that integrates data from various sources. You will design and implement an OLAP-based analytics layer that supports near real-time analytics for the Leo initiative. Your work will directly contribute to increasing global broadband access through innovative technology solutions.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that the systems you build meet the needs of diverse customers, including consumers and government agencies. Your role will involve establishing standardized data ingestion patterns and implementing automated data classification processes. You will also be tasked with ensuring that the systems you develop are cost-effective and high-performing, contributing to the overall mission of closing the digital divide.
