Overview

Amazon is hiring a Senior Worldwide Specialist Solutions Architect to tackle complex challenges in HPC/ML and GPU computing. You'll leverage your expertise in AWS to design scalable cloud-based systems. This role requires deep domain knowledge and experience in technical architecture.

Job Description

Who you are

You have extensive experience as a Solutions Architect, particularly in high-performance computing (HPC), machine learning (ML), and GPU computing — you've successfully addressed complex technical challenges and designed scalable architectures that meet customer needs. Your deep understanding of cloud computing allows you to guide customers through the intricacies of AWS services, ensuring they can leverage the full potential of the cloud.

You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with sales and technical teams to develop innovative solutions — your ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders sets you apart. You are passionate about solving unique technical challenges and enjoy the process of refactoring applications or designing new systems from the ground up.

Your background includes a strong focus on computer-aided engineering (CAE) and weather computing, giving you a unique perspective on how to apply AWS solutions to these domains — you understand the specific needs of customers in these industries and can tailor solutions accordingly.

You are results-driven and have a proven track record of driving revenue and adoption through effective go-to-market strategies — your experience in working with small to mid-market accounts as well as enterprise-level customers equips you with the skills to navigate diverse business landscapes.

Desirable

Experience with advanced AWS services and architectures is a plus, as is familiarity with the latest trends in HPC and ML technologies — you are always eager to learn and adapt to new challenges in the rapidly evolving tech landscape.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for crafting scalable and resilient technical architectures that address complex customer challenges — you will guide customers through their AWS journey, helping them refactor existing applications or design new cloud-based systems tailored to their needs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute go-to-market plans that drive AWS adoption and revenue growth.

You will engage with customers throughout the entire lifecycle of their AWS initiatives, from initial concept development to the acceleration of established businesses — your expertise will be crucial in identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement in their cloud strategies. You will also play a key role in mentoring junior team members, sharing your knowledge and experience to help them grow in their careers.

What we offer

Amazon provides a competitive salary range of $138,200 - $239,000 annually, depending on experience and location — you will also enjoy a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, retirement plans, and generous paid time off. Join a team that values collaboration, innovation, and customer success, and be part of a company that is at the forefront of cloud computing technology.
