Job Description
Who you are
You have experience in automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure — you've tackled challenges in managing complex systems and understand the importance of operational excellence. Your programming skills are strong in at least one modern language such as Python, Java, or C++, allowing you to contribute effectively to development projects.
You are familiar with Linux/Unix environments and have a solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines — this knowledge enables you to streamline development processes and enhance team productivity. Your troubleshooting skills are top-notch, and you enjoy solving complex problems that arise in production environments.
What you'll do
As a System Development Engineer II, you will design and develop the Control Plane and Observability for new storage systems — your work will directly impact the reliability and efficiency of Amazon's eCommerce Storage Technologies. You will also develop tools and automation to aid operations and maintenance, ensuring that the services your team supports run smoothly.
You will maintain software hygiene for the services your team owns, working on maintenance-driven coding projects that enhance system performance. Your role will involve operational excellence through support of incoming tickets, where you will apply your extensive troubleshooting skills to resolve issues efficiently.
