You are an experienced systems engineer with a strong background in cloud operations — you have a proven track record of managing high-availability services and understand the intricacies of cloud infrastructure. Your expertise in AWS services, including EC2, S3, and DynamoDB, allows you to effectively contribute to the development and operations of cloud solutions tailored for European customers.

You possess excellent collaboration skills and have experience working closely with cross-functional teams — your ability to communicate technical concepts clearly enables you to influence technology leaders and drive improvements in service availability and performance. You are passionate about delivering scalable services and ensuring a seamless experience for users.

What you'll do

In this role, you will oversee the launch of the European Sovereign Cloud (ESC) in 2025, working closely with global AWS teams to shape the future of AWS services. You will lead operations and development teams dedicated to enhancing the day-to-day operations of the ESC, focusing on improving availability, reliability, latency, and performance.

Your responsibilities will include collaborating with technology leaders to influence the evolution of AWS services and ensuring that the ESC meets the high standards expected by EU customers. You will play a pivotal role in building a best-in-class development engineering and operations team, aligning with AWS' commitment to customer satisfaction and continual innovation.
