Overview

Amazon is seeking a Team Lead for Lastmile Operations to manage shift operations at their delivery center in Mumbai. You'll work closely with the Center manager to ensure smooth transportation operations and drive performance improvements.

Who you are

You have a strong background in operations management, with proven execution skills and the ability to work under pressure. You are resourceful and know how to get things done efficiently, even with limited resources. Your leadership experience allows you to manage teams effectively, ensuring that all members are aligned and motivated to meet operational goals.

You are action-oriented and thrive in fast-paced environments. Your ability to analyze situations and make quick decisions is crucial in maintaining the flow of operations. You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders, including the Center manager and delivery teams.

What you'll do

As a Team Lead, you will oversee shift operations at the delivery center, ensuring that the delivery process runs smoothly from the station to the customer address. You will work closely with the Center manager to implement operational plans and drive performance management initiatives. Your responsibilities will include managing the delivery team, optimizing cost utilization, and monitoring overall losses to improve efficiency.

You will be responsible for ensuring that there is enough bandwidth in the delivery team to handle peak times effectively. Continuous improvement will be a key focus, as you will strive to enhance the delivery process and achieve sustained performance improvements. You will also manage the timely flow of shipments through the front-line teams, ensuring that safety remains a top priority.
