What you'll do

In this role, you will define the technical vision for AWS events, leading the production strategy for in-person, livestream, and virtual experiences. You will oversee the end-to-end technical direction, from defining requirements to managing execution and ensuring quality. Collaborating with various teams, you will ensure that every event delivers a seamless experience, leveraging your expertise in audio, video, and lighting to create impactful presentations.

You will also be responsible for developing and scaling best practices globally, creating standardized templates and technical grids that facilitate consistent execution across all AWS events. Your leadership will guide technical teams and external partners, ensuring that everyone is aligned with the event's vision and objectives. You will manage production budgets effectively, making strategic decisions that balance quality and cost.

Your role will involve continuous improvement, as you will analyze past events to identify areas for enhancement and implement changes that elevate the overall experience. You will also play a key role in mentoring and training team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence within the AWS Global Events team.
