Who you are

As a Technician in the RME team at Amazon, you are responsible for ensuring the continuous operation of essential machinery that supports our operations. You will perform a variety of maintenance tasks, including proactive and preventive maintenance on site equipment, while adhering to health and safety best practices. Your role is crucial in contributing to the safety of your colleagues and preventing machine downtime, which is vital for operational efficiency.

You have a strong commitment to safety and quality, ensuring that all maintenance tasks are performed to the highest standards. You are proactive in identifying potential issues and addressing them before they lead to equipment failures. Your ability to work collaboratively with your team and support the development of apprentices on site is key to fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

What you'll do

In this role, you will carry out planned preventive maintenance on equipment to ensure they operate safely and efficiently. You will respond to reactive maintenance tasks, diagnosing faults in a functional distribution center and implementing effective solutions. Your expertise will help optimize equipment performance using the best tools available, and you will adhere to all health and safety policies and practices.

You will also engage in continuous improvement projects, applying best practices across multiple sites within the EU. Your on-site presence will allow you to quickly address any technical issues that may arise, ensuring minimal disruption to operations. You will be involved in training and mentoring apprentices, helping them develop their skills and knowledge in maintenance practices.
