Who you are
You have a strong background in AI and machine learning, with experience in implementing and optimizing post-training techniques. Your proficiency in Python allows you to conduct research and develop recipes that improve production model quality. You are comfortable working at the intersection of research and production engineering, and you understand the importance of safety and alignment in AI systems.
You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with research teams to translate emerging techniques into production-ready implementations. Your analytical skills enable you to design, build, and run efficient pipelines for model fine-tuning and evaluation. You are proactive in responding to incidents and are willing to work on short notice when necessary.
What you'll do
As a Research Engineer on the Post-Training team, you will implement and optimize post-training techniques at scale on frontier models. Your responsibilities will include conducting research to develop and optimize post-training recipes that directly improve production model quality. You will design, build, and run robust pipelines for model fine-tuning and evaluation, ensuring that the models meet high standards of performance and safety.
You will collaborate with research teams to translate cutting-edge techniques into production-ready implementations, directly impacting the quality and capabilities of the production Claude models. Your work will involve developing tools to measure and improve model performance across various dimensions, contributing to the overall mission of creating reliable and beneficial AI systems.
