Who you are
You have a strong background in AI research, particularly in post-training methods for large language models (LLMs) — your experience includes developing and applying techniques to enhance instruction following and chain-of-thought (CoT) abilities in AI systems. You are proficient in Python and have a solid understanding of machine learning frameworks and reinforcement learning techniques, which you have applied to solve complex problems in dynamic environments.
You thrive in collaborative settings, working closely with research teams to translate cutting-edge research into production-ready systems — your ability to ask the right technical questions and shape joint technical direction is a key asset. What you'll do
In this role, you will lead efforts to enhance the capabilities of LLMs specifically for autonomous driving applications — this includes developing fine-tuning strategies and novel approaches to improve decision-making and task-solving abilities in complex driving scenarios. You will collaborate with a world-class team of researchers and engineers, ensuring that the latest research advancements are effectively integrated into the Waymo Driver's systems.
