You have a strong background in engineering leadership, with experience in managing teams that build consumer-facing applications. You thrive in fast-paced environments and are comfortable making architectural decisions while remaining hands-on with the engineering work. Your ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, Design, and Research, is essential for success in this role. You are adept at anticipating product needs and guiding your team to innovate and push boundaries in AI-powered applications.
You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Your experience in building intuitive and responsive user interfaces will be crucial as you lead the teams responsible for Claude's consumer experiences. You understand the importance of quality and speed in product delivery, and you are committed to fostering a culture of excellence within your team.
What you'll do
As the Engineering Manager, you will lead and grow the UI engineering teams responsible for developing all consumer-facing Claude experiences, including web, mobile, desktop, and browser extensions. You will shape the technical vision and execution of user interfaces that millions of users will interact with daily. Your role will involve steering architectural decisions and ensuring that your teams are equipped to deliver high-quality products quickly.
You will partner closely with Product, Design, Research, and Go-to-Market teams to align on the roadmap and anticipate future product needs. Your leadership will guide the team in navigating shifting priorities while maintaining a focus on quality and user experience. You will also be responsible for mentoring and developing your team members, helping them grow in their careers while achieving the company's goals.
