Job Description
Who you are
You have a proven track record in federal affairs, demonstrating effective political strategy and execution. Your experience includes building substantive relationships with senior policymakers and executing multi-dimensional policy campaigns that deliver measurable outcomes in contested environments.
You are skilled at navigating challenging legislative battles and have a deep understanding of the political landscape, particularly within the Democratic party in the House of Representatives. Your ability to advise internal stakeholders and shape policy positions is complemented by your strong communication skills and strategic thinking.
What you'll do
In this role, you will drive public policy outcomes that align with Anthropic's mission of creating reliable and interpretable AI systems. You will build advocacy campaigns that resonate with policymakers and help advance our policy goals. Your responsibilities will include developing advocacy strategies, managing relationships with Members of Congress, and advising internal teams on policy positions.
You will collaborate closely with researchers, engineers, and policy experts to ensure that our approach to AI policy is proactive and substantive. Your work will involve engaging in opinionated conversations with government officials and stakeholders to promote the safe development of AI systems.
