Job Description
Who you are
You have 5+ years of experience in an acoustics engineering role, ideally within the audio consumer electronics industry. Your educational background includes a BS/MS or equivalent, preferably specializing in acoustics or a related field. You possess a strong understanding of acoustic design principles and have a proven track record of bringing innovative audio concepts to life. Your collaborative spirit allows you to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including Transducer Design, Product Design, Electrical Engineering, Quality, and Reliability. You are detail-oriented and passionate about enhancing customer experiences through sound.
Desirable
Experience with simulation, prototyping, and validation techniques in acoustics is a plus. Familiarity with audio product development processes and a keen interest in the latest audio technologies will set you apart. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are eager to contribute to the design of products that millions of people love.
What you'll do
As a Senior Acoustic Engineer at Apple, you will own and drive the acoustic design and implementation for future products. Your role will involve deep multi-functional collaboration, where you will guide innovative audio concepts from initial ideation through to mass production. You will optimize acoustic performance through simulation and prototyping, ensuring that the audio experiences delivered are of the highest quality. Your responsibilities will include working closely with various teams to validate designs and troubleshoot any issues that arise during the development process. You will also be required to travel internationally on occasion to support engineering activities, ensuring that your expertise is applied wherever needed.
