Who you are

You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience, and you possess a strong technical foundation that allows you to tackle complex problems effectively. Your experience with back-end frameworks such as Ruby on Rails or Django has equipped you with the skills to design and develop robust systems that support global software delivery. You have a genuine interest in localization, internationalization, and translation workflows, which drives your passion for creating seamless user experiences across different markets.

Your proficiency in Python and/or Ruby enables you to contribute effectively to the development of scalable back-end web services. You are familiar with Machine Learning concepts, particularly Large Language Models (LLMs), and you have experience using generative AI tools to support software development. Additionally, your native-level proficiency in one or more foreign languages enhances your understanding of localization challenges and opportunities.

You thrive in collaborative environments, where you can partner cross-functionally with engineering teams to support new software features and improve existing platforms. What you'll do

In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable back-end web services that enhance Apple's localization automation tools and workflows. You will collaborate closely with engineers across Apple to support new features and improve automation processes, ensuring that Apple's products feel native and world-class in every market. Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting and resolving complex integration challenges, as well as continuously evolving the localization systems to meet the demands of a global audience.

You will play a key role in building new tools and improving existing platforms, contributing to the overall success of the Localization Automation team. Your work will directly impact how Apple delivers its products to customers around the world, making it essential that you maintain a high standard of quality and precision in your development efforts. You will also have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers and share your expertise in back-end development and localization practices.
