Who you are

You have a strong background in CAD engineering, particularly in the context of silicon design and analysis. Your experience includes working with design teams to tackle complex challenges in semiconductor technology, ensuring high-performance and power-efficient designs. You understand the nuances of silicon performance data and can differentiate between correlation and causation, which is crucial for driving improvements in design methodologies.

You possess excellent analytical skills, enabling you to mine and analyze silicon data effectively. Your ability to establish correlation metrics will be vital in refining design closure processes. You are detail-oriented and have a keen eye for identifying hidden details that can significantly impact performance, power, and area in silicon designs.

What you'll do

In this role, you will collaborate closely with design teams, DFT, CAD, and product engineering to design experiments that analyze silicon performance data. Your responsibilities will include refining design methodologies applied across all silicon design at Apple, ensuring that the technology you help build meets the high standards expected by millions of users. You will be instrumental in incorporating learnings back into static timing analysis tools and flows, driving continuous improvements in Apple products.

You will also be responsible for crafting and building technology that fuels Apple’s devices, working on leading-edge semiconductor technology nodes. Your contributions will help optimize performance and battery life in various Apple products, including phones and laptops. You will engage in data mining and analysis to establish correlation metrics that support design closure, ultimately enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of Apple’s silicon technologies.
