Apple is hiring a Senior SoC Physical Design Engineer to oversee the physical implementation of complex SOC designs. You'll work closely with design teams to improve timing and create documentation. This role requires 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
Job Description
Who you are
You have a minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience in physical design and timing analysis, showcasing your expertise in large design STA and timing closure. Your programming skills in Perl and TCL enable you to create and maintain scripts that enhance analysis and runs, making you a valuable asset to the team.
Your hands-on experience in static timing analysis (STA) allows you to effectively debug constraints and facilitate logic changes to improve timing. You are familiar with the important aspects of timing for large designs, which positions you well to contribute to the success of complex SOC projects.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be directly responsible for the physical implementation of design partitions from netlist to tapeout for highly complex SOCs. You will collaborate with design teams to understand and debug constraints, ensuring that timing issues are addressed promptly. Your ability to create timing ECOs for project tapeout will be crucial in meeting project deadlines.
You will also work closely with the Physical Design team, highlighting issues and best practices to improve overall design quality. Your deep analysis of timing paths will help identify key issues, and you will implement timing infrastructure to support the design process.
