Job Description
Who you are
You have 3+ years of experience developing software in a professional capacity, with a strong foundation in automation and engineering procedures. Your expertise includes working with programming languages such as Go, Python, Node.js, and Java, which you have used to design and maintain DevOps systems. You understand the importance of operational excellence and are passionate about integrating development and operations processes to create a highly-available development ecosystem.
You hold a B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or you have equivalent professional work experience. Your background includes proven experience implementing and operating fully-automated CI/CD platforms, which has equipped you with the skills to collaborate effectively with Site Reliability Engineers, Software Engineers, and Project Managers.
What you'll do
As a DevOps Engineer at Apple, you will play a crucial role in the Retail Engineering team, focusing on the foundational infrastructure and platforms that support Apple Stores and Apple Store Online. You will design, develop, test, document, improve, and maintain DevOps systems, ensuring they meet the operational needs of the organization. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with other engineers and partners to enhance the integration of development and operations processes.
You will be involved in every aspect of your projects, from planning and design to implementation and future iterations. This hands-on role requires you to develop solutions that improve how Apple Stores operate, ultimately crafting magical experiences for customers. You will also contribute to the continuous improvement of systems and frameworks that countless Apple employees rely on every day.
