Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong background in embedded firmware development, particularly using C and assembly languages — your expertise in ARM CPUs and their internals allows you to craft efficient solutions for complex wireless systems. With over 10 years of experience in the industry, you understand the intricacies of wireless communication systems and have a proven track record in RF calibrations and signal processing algorithm implementation.
Your ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including product software and manufacturing, ensures that you can effectively enable RF and PHY calibrations for productization. You are detail-oriented and possess strong debugging skills, allowing you to troubleshoot and optimize firmware for performance and reliability.
What you'll do
As a core member of the Wireless SoC firmware team, you will be at the forefront of developing embedded firmware that drives the functionality of Apple's wireless products. Your role will involve working closely with the silicon design group to ensure that the firmware integrates seamlessly with hardware components, enabling efficient wireless connectivity.
You will be responsible for implementing and tuning signal processing algorithms, ensuring that they meet the performance standards required for high-quality wireless communication. Your work will directly impact the user experience, as you contribute to the development of products that reach hundreds of millions of customers.
In addition to firmware development, you will engage in the bring-up process of SoCs, collaborating with various teams to validate and test the firmware in real-world scenarios. Your insights and expertise will be crucial in refining the product before it reaches the market.
