Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of relevant experience in embedded systems development, particularly in the realm of cellular RF transceivers. Your expertise in low-level programming using C, C++, and assembler allows you to craft sophisticated firmware that enhances product performance. You possess strong skills in computer architecture and HW/SW co-verification, enabling you to collaborate effectively with system engineers and hardware developers.

Your proficiency in debugging embedded software systems is complemented by familiarity with JTAG and ETM Trace tools, which you utilize to ensure the reliability of your firmware. You are well-versed in real-time processing and have experience with 32-bit microcontrollers, which is essential for developing efficient control firmware. Additionally, your skills in Python and shell scripting enhance your ability to automate tasks and streamline development processes.

You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams to innovate new wireless systems technologies. Your analytical thinking and problem-solving skills enable you to tackle complex challenges and push the limits of what is feasible in embedded firmware development.

Desirable

Experience with RTL simulation and SystemC environments is a plus, as is familiarity with compilers and build systems like Make and CMake. Your background in cellular verification will further strengthen your contributions to the team.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and verification of real-time control firmware for cellular RF transceivers. You will collaborate with system engineers, hardware developers, and system verification/integration engineers to ensure that the firmware meets performance and reliability standards. Your work will involve developing embedded systems that push the boundaries of wireless technology, contributing to Apple's innovative product lineup.

You will engage in all aspects of embedded software development, from initial design through to implementation and testing. Your role will require you to write and optimize low-level code, ensuring that the firmware operates efficiently on the hardware. You will also be involved in debugging and troubleshooting issues that arise during the development process, utilizing your expertise in debugging tools and techniques.
