You have a proven track record in leading engineering teams, particularly in the realm of testing and validation infrastructure. Your experience includes architecting comprehensive developer platforms that empower engineers to execute validation efficiently. You excel in strategic leadership, operational excellence, and have a deep understanding of developer platforms. You are adept at creating metrics and analytics that provide visibility into coverage and risk, ensuring that teams understand what is being tested and identifying any gaps in coverage.
You possess strong collaboration skills, enabling you to work effectively with diverse developer communities, including framework teams and production operations. Your ability to drive feedback loops from production operations to continuously improve coverage effectiveness and risk assessment is a key strength. What you'll do
In this role, you will define the testing and validation strategy at an organizational scale, determining how various developer communities author and execute validation. You will build best-in-class infrastructure and tooling that removes friction from validation processes, allowing developers to write effective tests and iterate quickly. Your leadership will directly impact engineering velocity and production reliability across Apple, making this a mission-critical function.
You will create visibility into coverage and risk by establishing metrics, reporting, and analytics that help teams understand what is being tested and identify coverage gaps. Your strategic vision will guide the development of infrastructure that empowers thousands of engineers to validate their work with confidence. You will collaborate closely with production operations and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) teams to ensure that feedback loops are established and maintained, driving continuous improvement in testing practices.
