Who you are
You have a strong background in technical leadership and people management, with experience guiding teams through the creative process. Your excellent verbal and written communication skills enable you to foster collaboration and build relationships across various teams. With a Bachelorโs Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience, you possess strong programming, debugging, and design skills in Swift, C, or C++. You are passionate about developing frameworks and APIs that enhance user experiences across multiple platforms.

Your experience in hiring and team building allows you to grow a diverse and world-class team, ensuring that each member feels supported and empowered. Desirable
Experience with graphics technologies such as PDF, ColorSync, and Image I/O is a plus, as is familiarity with High Dynamic Range (HDR) development. What you'll do
As the Engineering Manager of the Core Graphics team, you will lead the development of future CoreGraphics, ImageIO, and PDF features and APIs that will be utilized across all Apple platforms. You will be responsible for project planning and ensuring timely delivery of your teamโs features, while also coordinating with partner teams to align on goals and expectations. Your role will involve mentoring team members, helping them grow their skills, and fostering a collaborative environment where creativity can flourish.
You will take an active role in the hiring process, seeking out talented individuals who can contribute to the teamโs success. Your leadership will be crucial in maintaining a high level of productivity and morale within the team, as you navigate the complexities of project demands and team dynamics. You will also engage with sibling UI Framework teams to ensure that the graphics technologies you develop integrate seamlessly with other components of Appleโs ecosystem.
