You have 5+ years of experience in software engineering with a strong focus on graphics rendering technologies — you've led teams in developing high-performance graphics systems and understand the intricacies of UI rendering across multiple platforms. Your deep expertise in C++ and OpenGL allows you to architect solutions that push the boundaries of visual fidelity and performance.
You possess proven leadership capabilities, having successfully managed teams of engineers to deliver complex projects on time — your ability to bridge the gap between creative vision and technical execution is a key asset. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with designers and developers to create exceptional user experiences.
Your passion for building innovative rendering architectures energizes you — you enjoy tackling complex graphics challenges and are always looking for ways to improve the efficiency and quality of rendering processes. You are familiar with hardware acceleration techniques and color technologies that enhance visual output.
Desirable
Experience with Apple's graphics frameworks and technologies is a plus — familiarity with Core Animation and compositing systems will help you hit the ground running. A background in developing applications for iOS and macOS will also be beneficial as you lead your team in creating world-class visual experiences.
What you'll do
In this role, you will lead the UI Rendering team at Apple, driving key aspects of the Core Animation graphics compositing and rendering engine — your leadership will guide the team in architecting and building the graphics technologies that power visual experiences across iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Watch. You will oversee the development of foundational compositing systems and cutting-edge visual effects, ensuring that the technologies you create meet the highest standards of quality and performance.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design and product management, to translate creative visions into technical realities — your role will involve mentoring engineers, conducting code reviews, and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence within your team.
