Who you are
You have a BS degree and extensive experience in software and hardware performance analysis and optimization β your background includes working with GPU programming models such as Metal and CUDA, and you are well-versed in ML frameworks like MLX and PyTorch. With over 20 years of relevant industry experience, you have a deep understanding of optimizing LLM inference for low latency and at scale in cloud or datacenter environments.
Your communication skills allow you to effectively collaborate across both hardware and software organizations β you can articulate complex technical concepts to diverse teams, ensuring alignment and understanding. You are passionate about innovation and are eager to contribute to groundbreaking projects that redefine industries.
Desirable
An MS or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field would be a plus, as would experience specifically in CUDA C++ on ML and linear algebra algorithms. Your ability to analyze performance metrics and implement optimizations will be crucial in this role.
What you'll do
As a GPU Architect at Apple, you will analyze the performance of linear algebra and machine learning algorithms, contributing to the Neural Accelerator effort. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that the GPU architecture meets the high standards expected of Apple products. Your responsibilities will include developing and optimizing GPU kernels, collaborating with software engineers to enhance ML frameworks, and driving performance improvements that impact product launches.
You will also be involved in the design and implementation of new features, ensuring that they align with Apple's commitment to innovation and excellence.
