Job Description
Who you are
You are a highly motivated software engineer with excellent programming skills in C, C++, and Objective-C. You have a sound understanding of graphics APIs and are familiar with CoreGraphics, AppKit, and UIKit APIs. Your ability to improve the security and robustness of graphics frameworks makes you an ideal candidate for this role.
You possess a deep understanding of system-level concepts, including multi-threaded design, synchronization, and interprocess communication. Your strong low-level debugging abilities, combined with your knowledge of Swift, enable you to tackle complex engineering challenges effectively.
What you'll do
As a Graphics Frameworks Software Engineer, you will work on the Cocoa 2D Graphics team, contributing to the development and evolution of core technologies for Apple's platforms. You will collaborate with various teams to deliver quality improvements and performance enhancements in frameworks such as CoreGraphics and ImageIO.
Your responsibilities will include building and evolving the C/C++, Objective-C, and Swift APIs, ensuring that the infrastructure you develop is well-designed, robust, and maintainable. You will also focus on improving the security of the frameworks, delivering mitigations that enhance end-user security.
