Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong background in computer architecture and a passion for innovating new GPU architecture, hardware, or software features to improve performance. Your experience in GPU performance analysis has equipped you with the skills to identify and resolve complex performance issues effectively. You are proficient in programming with OpenGL, OpenCL, and/or Metal API, allowing you to develop tools that aid in the efficient measurement and improvement of GPU performance. Your analytical mindset enables you to propose novel hardware solutions that enhance the performance of Appleβs GPUs. You are detail-oriented and well-organized, ensuring that all aspects of performance validation are meticulously addressed.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for developing performance test plans that validate GPU performance across various applications. You will analyze performance issues to identify both hardware and software problems, collaborating closely with architecture, design, and software partners. Your role will involve proposing innovative hardware solutions to improve GPU performance, ensuring that Apple products can handle complex tasks seamlessly. You will also develop tools that facilitate the efficient measurement and communication of GPU performance metrics, validating the functionality and quantifying the performance benefits of features and algorithms implemented in hardware and software.
