Who you are

You have a deep understanding of printed circuit board design (PCB) and experience in high-speed design environments — you thrive in collaborative settings and are eager to receive guidance from design engineers to build complex boards. Your background includes studying PCB design trends and processes, allowing you to evaluate and implement those that apply to Apple’s core technologies. You are skilled in using CAE and CAD applications and tools to create detailed layouts of rigid and flexible printed circuit boards.

You are adept at conducting design feasibility studies to evaluate PCB design goals for packaging, cost, manufacturing, and system performance. Your experience includes assisting PCB Designers in resolving critical design problems, showcasing your problem-solving skills and technical expertise. You are also enthusiastic about training Board Designers, sharing your knowledge and helping them grow in their roles.

What you'll do

In this role, you will collaborate with multiple Design teams to plan schedules and resolve costs, packaging, manufacturing, and electrical design issues. You will be responsible for creating complex, detailed layouts of printed circuit boards, ensuring that all designs meet Apple’s high standards for quality and performance. You will also conduct feasibility studies to assess design goals and assist in the resolution of critical design problems, making your contributions vital to the success of the projects.

You will engage in continuous learning, studying PCB design trends and processes to keep Apple at the forefront of technology. Your ability to work closely with design engineers will enable you to build extraordinary products that align with Apple’s mission of innovation and excellence.
