You have a PhD and at least 5 years of hands-on experience in motion sensor development, specifically with IMUs, magnetometers, or pressure sensors. Your background includes a proven track record in sensing system development, showcasing your ability to translate complex requirements into actionable designs. You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling you to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

What you'll do
As a Feature Architect, you will be responsible for ensuring that our motion sensing hardware meets feature requirements through rigorous systems engineering analysis. You will translate top-level requirements into guidance for module and system integration teams, providing quantitative links between hardware specifications and end-user feature figures of merit. Your role will involve developing and curating models that help derive accurate requirements for motion sensor modules, navigating system integration challenges across Apple's product portfolio.
You will collaborate closely with engineering teams to design and ship innovative products that leverage state-of-the-art technologies. Your contributions will play a critical role in the invention and patent creation processes, as you work to push the boundaries of what is possible in motion sensing technology. You will also mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and growth within the team.
