Who you are

You have 4+ years of experience building machine learning capabilities across various product areas at scale — you've developed and deployed models that enhance user experience and safeguard advertiser trust. Your strong proficiency in Java, Python, or Scala allows you to effectively contribute to algorithm and system development, ensuring robust performance and reliability.

You possess a solid understanding of distributed systems and big data frameworks such as Spark, Kafka, Hadoop, or Flink — your experience enables you to design and implement scalable data pipelines that support complex machine learning tasks. You are adept at performance tuning, calibration, and drift detection, which are crucial for delivering measurable improvements in product quality and user experience.

What you'll do

As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Apple Ads, you will be responsible for building and deploying machine learning systems that enhance invalid traffic protections and safeguard advertiser trust. You will define and execute an innovation roadmap, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that the solutions you develop align with business objectives and user needs.

You will lead the development of CI/CD processes for machine learning models, ensuring that they are integrated seamlessly into the existing infrastructure. Your role will involve running A/B experiments to validate the effectiveness of new features and improvements, allowing you to make data-driven decisions that enhance the overall performance of the advertising platform.

In addition, you will work on performance tuning and calibration of machine learning models, focusing on delivering measurable improvements in latency and cost efficiency. Your expertise will be critical in identifying and mitigating issues related to model drift, ensuring that the systems you build remain effective over time.
