Who you are

You have 8+ years of proven experience in machine learning related software engineering, with a strong focus on product, infrastructure, frameworks, or tools. As a tech lead for at least 3 years, you have a deep understanding of machine learning systems, particularly in Generative AI and Large Language Models. Your expertise in building ML infrastructure enables teams to iterate faster and deliver intelligent features from idea to production.

You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with various ML teams to optimize platforms and find novel solutions to complex ML problems. Your experience in shipping intelligent features end-to-end demonstrates your ability to take projects from concept to deployment, ensuring they meet user needs and expectations. You are passionate about leveraging the latest advancements in AI to enhance user experiences across Apple's products and services.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be part of Apple’s internal Machine Learning Platform group, enabling ML teams to iterate their projects faster. You will engage in data engineering, labeling, training, online and offline evaluation, and experimentation. Your responsibilities will include defining and building the next set of features that address the challenges posed by advancements in Generative AI and Large Language Models. You will partner closely with customers and internal ML teams to further adopt and apply the platform, gaining feedback to iterate on products, services, SDKs, and web UIs to enhance user-friendliness and scalability.

You will help shape the future of intelligent experiences at Apple, impacting billions of users worldwide. Your role will require you to stay updated with the latest trends in AI and machine learning, ensuring that Apple remains at the forefront of innovation in this space. You will also mentor junior engineers, sharing your knowledge and expertise to foster a culture of learning and growth within the team.
