You have 3+ years of mechanical design experience, particularly in consumer electronics, and you thrive in multidisciplinary teams where collaboration is key. Your strong mechanical design skills enable you to deliver outstanding design solutions while managing multiple priorities on demanding schedules. You possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to effectively liaise with vendors in Asia and internal teams at Apple. Your understanding of engineering fundamentals, including heat transfer and assembly processes, equips you to tackle complex design challenges. You are passionate about engineering and innovation, eager to contribute to the next generation of mobile devices.
Desirable
Experience working on large-scale projects with contract manufacturers is a plus, as is familiarity with various fabrication processes. A background in leading projects in a multi-functional setting will help you excel in this role.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for building prototypes for design validation and driving failure analysis to ensure product quality. As designs mature, you will work on-site at contract manufacturers in India to implement and integrate iPhones for large-scale production. You will lead projects that require collaboration across various teams, ensuring that design specifications are met while adhering to tight schedules. Your ability to balance multiple priorities will be crucial as you navigate the complexities of product development.
