Who you are
You have over 5 years of hands-on experience in mechanism and mechatronic product design — you've successfully integrated electronics, sensors, and mechanisms in challenging packaging environments. Your strong mechanical engineering analytical skills enable you to select materials and manufacturing processes based on engineering requirements, ensuring that your designs are both innovative and practical.
Your proficiency in 3D CAD and creating 2D drawings allows you to visualize and communicate complex designs effectively. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with electrical, controls, and embedded firmware engineers to realize mechatronic system designs. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are second nature to you, allowing you to present technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for the mechanical design of mechanisms and mechatronic systems from concept generation through physical implementation and validation. You will prototype, evaluate, develop, and harden designs, ensuring they meet the high standards expected at Apple. Close collaboration with cross-functional teams will be essential as you integrate electrical components such as sensors, electronics, wiring, and harnesses into your designs.
You will explore innovative concepts and push the performance bounds of packaging and performance in highly integrated electro-mechanical systems.
